The Kansas City Chiefs will play in one of the games of the season on Sunday. They're visiting the Buffalo Bills in a clash of AFC titans.

The Chiefs will have to do it without running back Isiah Pacheco.

Pacheco had just begun to hit his stride, but he's unavailable in Week 9.

Why isn't Isiah Pacheco playing today?

Pacheco is missing the Bills game due to injury.

NFL Network's Tom Pelissero reported Tuesday that Pacheco is week-to-week with an MCL sprain.

When is Isiah Pacheco coming back?

There's good news on this front: The Chiefs have a bye next week.

CBS sideline reporter Tracy Wolfson reported Sunday morning that Pacheco "should be back after the bye."

Chiefs' RB depth chart

With Pacheco out, the Chiefs line up like this in the backfield:

  1. Kareem Hunt
  2. Brashard Smith
  3. Clyde Edwards-Helaire

Hunt was already the short-yardage and goal-line back and should see a few more carries.

Smith is mostly a pass catcher.

CEH was promoted from the practice squad to take the roster spot of Pacheco for Sunday. He was once promising but hasn't played a key role in a while, so it'll be interesting to see if the Chiefs use him much.
