Week 18 in the NFL is nearly upon us, and for the Kansas City Chiefs, one more team stands in their way before they can put this horror show behind them -- the Las Vegas Raiders.

A true rival for Kansas City. So, while there is no "real" incentive to win, bragging rights are a big carrot dangling in front of both teams.

But for quarterback Chris Oladokun, what would a win over the Raiders mean for the Chiefs heading into 2026?

“It'd be huge,” Oladokun said. “At the end of the day, it's a AFC West opponent. It's a rivalry game versus the Raiders. Both teams are going to come out swinging. Obviously, the narrative is that the Raiders are going to lay down because they want the number one pick. That's not going to happen.

"The Raiders are going to come out there, they play really hard. None of us expect them to lay down, and we're both going to be playing to win.”

Chiefs have chance to end year with positivity

A win over the Raiders wouldn't erase all the bad from the season, but at least it would be something positive.

Heading into an offseason that could see a lot of moving and shaking personnel-wise, the Chiefs, with Oladokun getting his second consecutive start, have a chance to heap more misery on the Raiders.

Not to mention a host of young players looking to make a statement and possibly earn a shot at a roster spot either with Kansas City or another team next season.

So, there is a lot to play for, and Oladokun stated that it is a rivalry game, and the last thing the Chiefs will want is to have their season end with a loss to the lowly Raiders.
