Tyreek Hill has two different fan bases confused.
Hill, who is widely expected to be cut loose by the Miami Dolphins this offseason after an injury-shortened 2025 season, took to social media to make it known he wants to "go home" in 2026.
"Since we putting in request I want to go home," Hill tweeted on Thursday.
But this has left Atlanta Falcons and Kansas City Chiefs fans confused.
That's because Hill is a Georgia native, so many are thinking he means he wants to go play for the Falcons.
However, Hill's first NFL home was with the Chiefs, where he became a superstar in an offense run by head coach Andy Reid and quarterbacked by superstar signal-caller Patrick Mahomes.
Both teams could be in the market for a wide receiver this offseason.
The Falcons have a fantastic No. 1 in Drake London, but Darnell Mooney did not prove to be an adequate No. 2 in 2025 and the team is sorely lacking depth aside from those two.
Adding to that, Atlanta could lose tight end Kyle Pitts in free agency, which would leave the pass-catcher cupboard even more bare.
In Kansas City, there is uncertainty surrounding wide receiver Rashee Rice, who is being investigated by the NFL after he was accused of domestic violence, which leaves the door open for Rice to be suspended again.
And, with Marquise Brown, JuJu Smith-Schuster and Tyquan Thornton all set to be free agents, the team could be left with Rice (if he isn't suspended) and Xavier Worthy, which simply isn't enough.
All that said, both teams could very well avoid Hill, and for a few reasons.
Hill has been accused of domestic violence by his estranged wife, which has triggered an NFL investigation that could end with a suspension.
On top of that, Hill, who is set to turn 32 in March, is recovering from a dislocated knee and torn ligaments that included his ACL, so he is not a lock to be ready by the start of 2026, and it remains to be seen if he'll return to form at all at his advanced age.
The Chiefs have already had the total Hill experience, an experience that came with plenty of ups but also several downs, with off-the-field issues being among those downs.
We tend to believe Kansas City will avoid a reunion with Hill, especially with the team possibly turning the page to a new chapter following a losing season.
The Falcons are more likely to sign Hill than the Chiefs, but the new head coach and general manager in Atlanta might not be keen on bringing in someone who could be a massive distraction.
