Is Travis Kelce playing today? Chiefs' TE retirement rumors heat up at Christmas image

Travis Kelce's NFL career could be entering its final days.

There's no certainty on whether the Kansas City Chiefs' legendary tight end will retire at the end of the season or not. But it's definitely in play for the 36 year old.

That makes Thursday night a big one. It's the Chiefs' final home game of the season, what could be Kelce's final game at Arrowhead Stadium.

Kansas City is taking on the Denver Broncos and pretty much just trying to play spoiler to the Broncos' pursuit of a first-round bye in the postseason.

Fans have wondered how Kelce would approach these days at this stage of his career.

Is Travis Kelce playing today?

Yes, Kelce is slated to be active and play on Thursday night for the Chiefs against the Broncos.

The tougher part for Kelce will be how involved he can be in the offense.

The Chiefs are starting Chris Oladokun at quarterback after Patrick Mahomes and Gardner Minshew both got injured.

Kansas City may want to let Kelce put on a show in what could be his final ever game at Arrowhead. To do it, he might have to go take a few snaps himself, because this likely won't be a particularly efficient offense on Thursday night.
