NFL players have often struggled to achieve the sort of widespread fame and popularity that is typical of other sports stars.
When thinking of sport's grandest talents — those whose fame rises far beyond the plain of a mere sporting contest — football players tend to lag behind the most memorable talents in basketball, soccer and track-and-field. Perhaps that is a reflection of the still somewhat insular nature of American football, clearly a global game but one that still lags behind international sporting fixtures.
The uniforms don't help; it's hard to familiarize yourself with a player when you can't see his face when he plays.
The money that top NFL players make is good. But the way they make it feels distinctly different to the way we would expect high-profile professional athletes to earn their paycheck.
That's not the case for everyone, though. Especially not Travis Kelce.
The Chiefs TE is as multi-faceted as they come on the gridiron, equally adept at snagging passes and grinding pass rushers into dust on the line of scrimmage. He showcases a similar level of versatility off of the field, using his business acumen, gregariousness and high-profile romance with a certain pop star to yield bigger checks than most.
With that, here's what you need to know about Kelce's net worth.

Travis Kelce net worth
Travis Kelce is worth $90 million, according to Celebrity Net Worth. He derives most of that total from his on-field exploits; Kelce is perhaps the NFL's greatest-ever tight end. That has proven fairly profitable thus far, landing him not only impressive contracts, but also a litany of endorsements. It doesn't hurt that he's one of the league's most marketable talents, a trait that has become more pronounced now that he is engaged to Taylor Swift.
According to Celebrity Net Worth, Kelce is the joint-22nd most valuable NFL player in league history, level with longtime teammate Patrick Mahomes as well as hurlers Carson Palmer, Dak Prescott and Ryan Tannehill. Mahomes, Palmer, Prescott and Tannehill all inked contracts substantially larger than Kelce has, making his place on the all-time net worth list all the more impressive.
But that net worth should continue to climb. In a joint post shared to Instagram, Swift and Kelce announced that they are engaged to be married. The post, which originally came from Swift, is captioned "Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married."

Travis Kelce acting career
As far as athletes go, Kelce has been fairly prolific on the silver and small screens. In 2016, he starred on "Catching Kelce", a Bachelor-style competition that saw women joust (at least rhetorically speaking) for Kelce's affection.
That set the stage for more television and film appearances. Since 2024, Kelce has appeared in
Grotesquerie", "Are You Smarter Than a Celebrity" (as a host) and "Happy Gilmore 2." He's slated to land a lead role on the Lionsgate film, "Loose Cannons", although that hasn't started production yet.

Where does Travis Kelce live?
Kelce resides in a $6 million mansion in Leawood, Kansas, a stone's throw from his usual stomping grounds at Arrowhead Stadium. It isn't his only property; Kelce still owns the $995,000, 10,000-square foot house he purchased in Briarcliff West (Kansas City) back in 2019. That house is also glistening; it is adorned with three bedrooms, five bathrooms, a pool, a wine cellar and a theater room.
Kelce purchased the Leawood property around the time he started dating Swift. He reportedly added a 396-square foot underground component to the house, a feature that should help increase the property's value even more.
With an impressive collection of luxury watches and cars to boot, Kelce certainly sports expensive tastes. Still, he looks firmly in the green at this point in his career, bolstered by big-money contracts — both with the Chiefs and endorsers.
