Of all the positions of need for the Kansas City Chiefs entering the offseason, quarterback might not be one of them.
Yes, Patrick Mahomes is the starter. But behind him?
Gardner Minshew could return as a veteran backup option, but Chris Oladokun could also be in line for backup honors.
On Christmas Day, in his first start against the Denver Broncos, Oladokun was serviceable (13 of 22 for 66 yards, 1 TD) in the 20-13 loss.
For ESPN's Nate Taylor, Chris showed he can be a nice game manager.
"Well, the Chiefs possessed the ball for fewer than 21 minutes Thursday night, which wasn't great for Oladokun, Kansas City's third-string quarterback," Taylor wrote. "But when he had limited opportunities, Oladokun showed he is capable of being a quality game manager.
"In just 16 attempts prior to the final drive, Oladokun never put the ball in danger. Instead, he had some nice moments scrambling and improvising to create yards."

Should Oladokun be Mahomes' backup in 2026?
Right now, there's no reason to suggest not.
He's young, cheap and has been with the Chiefs for years, so he knows the system and the locker room knows him.
Tick, tick and tick.
Of course, we also know the benefits of having a true veteran at the position, so Kansas City could look to the free agency market to get a trusted veteran in to help push both Patrick and Chris.
Week 18 will be another chance for Oladokun to put himself in the good graces of the coaching staff against a Las Vegas Raiders team that just got curb-stomped by the New York Giants.
And if he plays well, it might put him at the front of the queue in 2026.
