The Kansas City Chiefs' season has gone sideways, with the Patrick Mahomes out fot the season with a torn ACL and the team missing the playoffs.

In Mahomes' place is veteran quarterback Gardner Minshew, who is expected to finish out the season as the starter. However, against the Tennessee Titans on Sunday, Minshew dealt with an injury of his own and had to be evaluated by medical staff.

While Kansas City is just trying to finish the season, the team is forced to go deep into its depth chart. Here's the latest on Minshew's injury.

Gardner Minshew injury update

Gardner Minshew left the game early in the second quarter with an apparent knee injury after he limped off the field. The Chiefs' backup was just 3-for-8 with 15 passing yards before leaving the game.

Kansas City declared Minshew as questionable to return to the game with the injury. Minshew was replaced by Chris Oladokun, who had played in just one career game prior to this game.

After being checked out more thoroughly, the Chiefs ruled out Minshew for the rest of the game.
