There's nothing set in stone on whether or not the 2025 NFL season will be Travis Kelce's last in the league.
But everyone knows that the days are numbered for the Kansas City Chiefs' legendary tight end.
Eventually, they'll need to find a way to replace him.
K.C. Could opt to rely mostly on in-house options, where Noah Gray has now been the understudy for years.
Or, the Chiefs could look to the 2026 NFL Draft. If they don't turn things around, they could be picking in the top half.

Right now, they slot at No. 15, and ESPN's Matt Miller has just released a new mock draft in which he has the Chiefs using that spot to take Oregon TE Kenyon Sadiq.
"The decline of Kansas City's offense can be blamed on a few things, but the lack of an explosive run game and tight end Travis Kelce's decreased role are two prime factors," Miller writes. "Unless (Jeremiyah) Love somehow falls to this spot, I don't see the Chiefs going running back in Round 1 -- especially after whiffing on Clyde Edwards-Helaire in the first round in 2020 -- but they could target Kelce's replacement here. Sadiq's ability to shake coverage and pick up yards after the catch would allow him to thrive in Kelce's role. The 6-foot-3, 245-pound junior has only 30 catches this season but has scored six touchdowns."

The Chiefs could target the top tight end in the draft even if Kelce doesn't retire. He'd be a great mentor.
If Kelce hangs his cleats up, Sadiq could still learn from the experienced Gray.
Andy Reid and Patrick Mahomes would surely enjoy immediately bringing in a different, athletically supreme tight end to take over for Kelce. They'd probably help Sadiq hit the ground running right away.
