Did Patrick Mahomes tear his ACL?
Yes, Mahomes tore his ACL.
The Chiefs announced that injury diagnosis on Sunday night at about 7:20 p.m. ET, 6:20 p.m. CT.
That will end Mahomes' season and make it tough for him to be back for Week 1 in 2026.
Gardner Minshew, his backup, will start the remainder of the season for the Chiefs.
The Chiefs fell to 6-8 with the defeat.
This is what Mahomes posted on X after the game:
"Don’t know why this had to happen. And not going to lie it’s hurts. But all we can do now is Trust in God and attack every single day over and over again. Thank you Chiefs kingdom for always supporting me and for everyone who has reached out and sent prayers. I Will be back stronger than ever (clock emoji)."
