The Kansas City Chiefs' overtime win over the Indianapolis Colts saw the best of Patrick Mahomes late in the game when all the marbles were pushed into the middle of the table.
Down 20-9 in the fourth quarter, Mahomes rallied his team and went on to orchestrate three scoring drives, which included one in overtime to get the win.
Patrick led a 12-play, 61-yard touchdown drive, then a 21-play, 90-yard drive that ended in the game-tying field goal, and in overtime, a 14-play, 81-yard drive that set up Harrison Butker's game-winner.
That is proper clutch football, folks. But it appears it wasn't enough to move Mahomes any higher in Nick Shook's latest quarterback rankings, as Patrick stays at No. 5 while Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen, after his dismal performance against the Houston Texans, remains ahead of him at No. 4.
“Patrick Mahomes had an uneven day against the Colts, but he put together enough good throws to help the Chiefs overcome a 20-9 deficit and stave off the doomsayers for another week,” Shook writes.

Mahomes has another chance to climb rankings vs. Cowboys
With the Chiefs set to be involved in what many think will be the most-watched regular-season game in NFL history on Thanksgiving against the Cowboys, Mahomes has another chance to prove his clutch gene to the NFL world...not like he really has to.
But the 6-5 Chiefs haven't been at their best this season, and Mahomes has shown of late that he is getting back to his best, but if the late game heroics against the Colts weren't enough to move him up, doing it again vs. The Cowboys just might.
Plus, Allen is on the road in Pittsburgh, so that will be a tough outing, and if Mahomes can beat the Cowboys and play well, there is likely no reason for him not to be moving up Shook's list.
Of course, this won't be an easy game for Kansas City, especially being on a short week, but doubt No. 15 at your peril.
