The Kansas City Chiefs fell 27-21 to the Los Angeles Chargers on Friday night in Sao Paulo, Brazil. Nonetheless, it was a frustrating night for the Chiefs' offense and Patrick Mahomes.
In the first half, Kansas City only recorded six points. While the team did pick it up in the second half, the struggle to have the offense clicking is a worrying sign, especially with Mahomes not looking like his usual self.

Mahomes finished the night completing 24 of 39 passes for 258 passing yards and one touchdown. Nonetheless, if this is the production that the 29-year-old will be producing, FOX Sports radio host Rob Parker stated that Mahomes shouldn't be a candidate for MVP this season because the player is a shadow of what he used to be.
"Nobody's saying that he has to be flawless or throw 50 touchdowns and no picks, whatever," Parker said on "The Odd Couple With Rob Parker & Kelvin Washington."
"It's just a far cry. Once you've seen vintage Patrick Mahomes in the early days of his career, it's hard to watch this one and think he's the MVP of the league, no matter how much winning they do.
Moreover, Parker is calling out anyone who wants to keep believing that Mahomes is an MVP-caliber player despite the performances from the Chiefs star over the past two seasons.

"So, I don't see how that's going to be possible given the competition, what he's done of late," Parker added. "You think he wants to dink and dunk? I mean, the last two years, you really believe that? No.
"You think he wants to throw picks? No. This is just who he is at this point. And I just think that people, when it comes to players like Patrick Mahomes, they can't let it go. He's an all-time great. So they always give him the benefit of the doubt."
