The Kansas City Chiefs' superstar quarterback completed one of those kind of passes that it seems only he can make.

It was Friday night in Sao Paulo, Brazil, and the Chiefs were clashing with the Los Angeles Chargers.

The Chiefs needed a first down, trailing by eight.

And Mahomes got caught by pressure from behind and started to be pulled down.

But he extended his body, parallel to the ground, and flipped a sidearm toss to JuJu Smith-Schuster. First down.

It was a crucial play, because the Chiefs eventually ended this drive with a 37-yard touchdown pass from Mahomes to Travis Kelce.

It was a baseball-style throw, for sure.

Mahomes' father of the same name was a major league relief pitcher.

The Chiefs' QB himself grew up playing baseball, a sport that often encourages off-platform throws.

Mahomes definitely has the off-platform thing mastered. And he showed it off for the crowd in Brazil.
