Chiefs fans will love Andy Reid's quote on 2026 outlook image

There wasn't much to get excited about for the Kansas City Chiefs in 2025.

Injuries hindered the team, and the play overall was just downright bad.

For a team that had made the previous three straight Super Bowls, some think fatigue played a role, and in a sense, they're right.

But now a rest is needed, both from a player and a coaching standpoint.

Some aren't sold on the Chiefs bouncing back in 2026, given what has transpired in 2025, but what about head coach Andy Reid?

"I feel like the future is bright," Reid said. "We got a great nucleus of players coming back, we've got some injuries, but injuries that I think guys will come back strong, and we look forward to getting going in this offseason and getting ourselves right for this upcoming season. Very positive thoughts on that."

Chiefs facing different 2026 outlook

Personnel changes are a given at the end of any season, and it will be no different for the Chiefs.

But coaching-wise, it might.

Both Steve Spagnuolo and Matt Nagy have received requests to interview for the vacant Tennessee Titans head coach role, according to insider Jordan Schultz.

So, there could be a lot of moving and shaking from the Chiefs this offseason as the franchise looks to figure out what went wrong this season and come back stronger in 2026.

Reid appears bullish on Kansas City's chances, but as always, time will tell.
