The Kansas City Chiefs may still look to shake things up this offseason.
It was a relatively quiet free agency for the Chiefs, who were coming off a humiliating loss to the Philadelphia Eagles in the Super Bowl in February. Then, using that humiliation as fuel, Kansas City used their first three draft picks to beef up their offensive line.
Cornerback looked like a need for Kansas City coming into the offseason as well, and they've addressed it by signing Kristian Fulton in free agency and drafting California's Nohl Williams in the third round.
Still, one football writer believes it's possible the Chiefs could take another swing at the position by pulling off their biggest trade in quite some time.
In a recent article, Anthony Palacios of Last Word On Sports named the Chiefs as a trade fit for Cowboys corner Trevon Diggs, a two-time Pro Bowler whose last two seasons have been shortened by knee injuries.
"After losing L’Jarius Sneed, it was always the anticipation that the (Chiefs') secondary wouldn’t be the same, and that could be the case for the safeties department," Palacios wrote.

"Since they lost Justin Reid, the only replacement was Mike Edwards, and he’s way past his prime. Diggs won’t make much of a difference, but he has similar experience to Trent McDuffie and could help disrupt the aerial attack."
The 27-year-old Diggs has 20 career interceptions in 57 games, including 11 in his remarkable 2021 season to lead the NFL. His contract is something of an albatross: five years, $97 million running through 2028.
There's no reporting that suggests the Chiefs have an active interest in Diggs, and they very well might never get to that point. But if they decide to go nuclear, it seems likely the Cowboys would pick up the phone.
