The future of Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce continues to be a topic of discussion in NFL circles, with many unsure exactly what the future Hall of Famer will do.
Having reportedly mulled over retirement for a brief second last offseason, Travis came back for a 13th season.
But now, after another year of taking hits, the wear and tear might be getting to No. 87.
We have gotten a few hints that Travis might be returning in 2026, thanks in part to the Chiefs hiring back Eric Bieniemy as offensive coordinator.
And now EB, perhaps unknowingly, just dropped a huge update on Kelce's future when discussing working with Patrick Mahomes and Travis.
“I’ve had just a small, minimal conversation with both, but more than anything, it’s just the excitement of reuniting," Bieniemy said. "Is the excitement high? Yes. Am I fired up? Yes. Do I respect the hell out of both those guys? Yes. I’m looking forward to getting back in the grind and chopping wood with them.”

Is Kelce returning?
Well, taking Bieniemy's comments into account, there's no other explanation — Kelce is back in 2026, right?
Eric stated he is fired up to get back into the grind and "chopping wood" with them this year.
Now, Bieniemy likely wouldn't say that if Kelce is retiring, right? Of course, he also might not know Travis' plans yet either.
But it is another breadcrumb to follow this offseason, with several small indications hinting that Kelce might be back for Year 14 in 2026.
