The Kansas City Chiefs might just be back after their 30-17 win over the much-fancied Detroit Lions on Sunday night, as Andy Reid's team is now starting to put good performances together.

After a rocky start, many doubted the Chiefs, but over the last three weeks, the offense has shown significant improvement, with three of its highest-scoring games and the most total yards compared to the first three games of the season.

But why is that? What has changed?

Well, getting weapons back is key, and as Reid explains, the mood has also lifted inside the building.

“Getting one back was a big thing, Xavier [Worthy] brings a lot of energy, and he can do a lot of things for you, and that he has an attitude there that he brings, and getting Rashee [Rice] back in the building, I also think was a big part,” Reid said. “I think they felt that they were whole again, at least by body there. So that's a positive, having him back in the building.”

Chiefs' offense starting to heat up

The win over the Lions was huge for the Chiefs in the Super Bowl conversation, one that they are now surely part of, and the best part for the franchise is that it is getting its best weapon back in Rashee Rice.

We have seen the offense look more like its usual self over the past three weeks, with Patrick Mahomes able to march up and down the field while connecting with his weapons routinely.

Now throw Rice back into the mix, coupled with Steve Spagnuolo's defense also starting to play some good football, and it is easy to see why many think Kansas City might be back.

But the next three weeks will tell us a lot with the Las Vegas Raiders, Washington Commanders, and Buffalo Bills on the schedule. Win two of those, and the narrative will shift dramatically.

Are the Chiefs back? It's beginning to feel like it.
