One area for the Kansas City Chiefs that needs an overhaul this offseason is running back.
Isiah Pacheco and Kareem Hunt are solid options, but Patrick Mahomes and Andy Reid need an upgrade.
The franchise tried to trade for New York Jets running back Breece Hall last season, and now that Hall is a free agent, the Chiefs should absolutely try to go after him.
He has everything the Chiefs need/want in a back, and the fact that they already tried to get him months earlier tells you a lot.
For CBS Sports' Garrett Podell, in his top 50 NFL free agents piece, Hall on a playoff team is an interesting thought.
"Hall's ability to cut on a dime to produce big plays as both a runner and a pass catcher shines brightly in the darkness that is the Jets' offense," Podell writes. "It's hard to be a running back when your team is almost always playing from behind, but hopefully Hall can join a team that has a shot at postseason football in 2026."

Hall would transform Chiefs offense
Hall behind Mahomes would give the Kansas City QB something he hasn't had in a while.
A player's defense has to account for others other than him.
Hall can hit a home run on any play, plus he can be a back who can carry a decent workload.
In 2025, he had seven games of 15+ carries, not to mention his ability as a pass-catcher, too. Reid would work that into the game plan.
Spotrac.com has Hall's market value at $10.4 million APY. The Chiefs aren't playing that.
But the chance to move to an AFC top dog might be enough for Hall to take a pay cut.
After all, playing with Mahomes has its advantages, and Hall would certainly bring a new level of threat to Kansas City's offense.
