The Jacksonville Jaguars haven't had their No. 1 wide receiver, Brian Thomas Jr., on the field in each of the last two games.
Thomas suffered an ankle injury in the Week 9 win over the Las Vegas Raiders that forced his early exit from the contest. He has since sat out in Weeks 10 and 11.
As we turn the page to Week 12, the Jaguars are hoping to get Thomas back for the matchup against the Arizona Cardinals.
Here's what we know about his status.
Will Brian Thomas Jr. Return in Week 12?
We don't have a confirmation Thomas will play this week, but there is reason for optimism.
According to the Jaguars' official injury report last week, Thomas practiced on a limited basis three times before drawing a questionable tag.
That participation marked the first since his injury and shows a clear sign of progress. That also leaves the door wide open for Thomas to play in Week 12.
With the Jaguars playing on Sunday this week, they'll drop their first injury report on Wednesday, so we'll know more then.
If Thomas is limited, it'll be status quo for his chances of suiting up. However, if he can log a full session, that will be a strong indication he's ready to roll.
If Thomas doesn't play in Week 12, the Jaguars will once again be forced to lean on Jakobi Meyers, Tim Patrick and Parker Washington. Jacksonville may also get tight end Brenton Strange back after he was designated to return from IR last week.
