When do Jaguars pick next? Updated draft board for Jacksonville after blockbuster trade with Browns image

The Jacksonville Jaguars entered Day 1 of the 2025 NFL Draft on Thursday with elite capital, including No. 5 overall, 10 selections total, and four picks inside the top 90.

The Jaguars’ draft board changed in a big way following their blockbuster trade with the Cleveland Browns to climb three spots and draft Colorado wide receiver/cornerback Travis Hunter at No. 2 overall.

Here’s what the Jaguars gave up and received in one of the biggest draft-day trades in recent memory:

Jaguars-Browns trade details

Cleveland Browns receive:

  • Pick No. 5 (Mason Graham, DT, Michigan)
  • Pick No. 36 (2nd round)
  • Pick No. 126 (4th round)
  • 2026 first-round pick

Jacksonville Jaguars receive:

  • Pick No. 2 (Travis Hunter, WR/CB, Colorado)
  • Pick No. 104 (4th round)
  • Pick No. 200 (6th round)

NFL insider Adam Schefter reported during ESPN’s draft broadcast that this deal took the past two weeks to hammer out. Cleveland sweetened the deal by upgrading one of Jacksonville’s fourth-round selections and tossing in a sixth-rounder this year. But it obviously took a haul for Cleveland to move off of Hunter, with Jacksonville sending its strong second-round pick this year along with next year’s first-rounder.

The Browns passed on drafting a quarterback at pick No. 5 overall, opting instead for star Michigan defensive tackle Mason Graham. Cleveland can now either leverage its extra capital this year for a QB, or wait until what is expected to be a more elite QB class in 2026. The Jaguars were one of the worst teams in the NFL in 2024, so Cleveland is obviously banking on history repeating itself in ’25.

The Jaguars still have plenty of draft capital remaining for 2025, but without another trade, they now have a 68-pick gap between their first and second selections. Here’s an updated look at the Jaguars’ draft board for Rounds 2 through 7:
