The Jacksonville Jaguars invested their future into Travis Hunter.
They traded the Nos. 5 and 36 picks in the 2025 NFL Draft and their first-rounder in 2026 to the Cleveland Browns to move up to No. 2 and take Hunter.
The Heisman Trophy-winning two-way superstar is now beginning his first NFL training camp.
The league doesn't yet know how Hunter will split his time between wide receiver and cornerback. The Jags probably don't even know perfectly yet, either.
But The Athletic's Jeff Howe writes that that's the obvious thing to watch in Jacksonville's camp, and he expects the workload to be ample.
"Hunter is going to be one of the most exciting players in the league for the foreseeable future, and there’s so much intrigue over his usage," Howe writes. "The Jaguars traded a significant package of assets to move up for Hunter because they love his offensive ability, but a good chunk of the league viewed him as a full-time corner with plenty of value as a scheme receiver. However the Jaguars use Hunter, expect there to be a lot of it. He has all the necessary talent to be a star, and he has the backing of an organization that’s motivated to help him get there."

Hunter rarely left the field in college. NFL analysts don't think he can play quite that much in the league.
There also has never been a player quite like Hunter. He's the Shohei Ohtani of football.
If anyone can handle an unprecedented role, it's Hunter. Jacksonville fans are certainly excited to see how it all works out, as are football fans everywhere.
