Despite four turnovers on Sunday, Jags QB Trevor Lawrence says he won't 'play scared' image

The Jacksonville Jaguars collected another victory on Sunday, despite quarterback Trevor Lawrence committing four turnovers in the contest. It was a topsy-turvy contest right up until the last whistle blew, with the Jaguars (now 7-4) pulling out a 27-24 win over the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday.

After throwing three interceptions and fumbling in the game, Lawrence acknowledged his mistakes, but he also stated that they haven't shaken his confidence as he and the Jags head into a Week 13 match-up with the Tennessee Titans (1-10).

"We had four turnovers and they were all on me, so I own that, and I've got to do my job and take care of the ball and not put our defense in tough spots," Lawrence said, according to ESPN. "Totally get that, but I'm never going to play scared. I'm going to continue to let it rip, and I think that's why we have a chance at the end of the day -- [it's] because you keep playing."

"So, never going to apologize for that. But I will say I cannot turn the ball over four times."

Lawrence hasn't had a consistent NFL career

Jacksonville should manage a win against the Titans, who are seemingly destined to have the NFL's worst record in 2025. However, Lawrence's often erratic play never guarantees anything, and that will have to change if the Jaguars want to win the division. They currently trail the Indianapolis Colts (8-3) by just one game in the AFC South standings.

Once one of the most highly-touted passing prospects when he was taken as the top pick in the 2021 NFL Draft, Lawrence has never really put together the resume of a franchise quarterback.

While he has not only battled injuries during his five years in Jacksonville, his play has been up and down as well. That's prompted many fans and observers to believe it might be time to move on from Lawrence, who has a record of 29-42 in his career as a starter.
