If you had said the Indianapolis Colts would get off to a dominant 3-0 start before the season began, just about everyone inside and outside Indianapolis would have laughed at you.

But that is exactly what has transpired — the Colts have dropped at least 29 points in each of their first three games this season and sport the No. 2 scoring offense in the league entering Week 4.

Daniel Jones is playing sensational football, showing exactly why the Colts made the switch off Anthony Richardson, and Jonathan Taylor is looking like the elite back we all knew he was.

Perhaps most surprisingly, the Colts' defense has put the clamps on opponents to the tune of just 18.7 points allowed per contest, which ranks inside the top 10.

The Colts' offense has been so successful over three games that the team has only punted once. No team in at least the last 85 years has accomplished that feat, per ESPN.

The Colts' lone punt this season came in Week 3 against the Tennessee Titans in what was a 41-20 victory.

Rigberto Sanchez, who probably forgot he still has a job after not seeing any action over the first two games, booted a 46-yard punt in the second quarter.

Going into their Week 4 matchup against the Los Angeles Rams, here's a look at the Colts' offensive and defensive rankings in per-game averages.

Offense

  • Total yards: 2nd
  • Passing yards: 5th
  • Rushing yards: 3rd
  • Points: 2nd

Defense

  • Total yards: 7th
  • Passing yards: 8th
  • Rushing yards: 8th
  • Points: T-9th

Just the way we all drew it up.
