Colts' rookie TE Tyler Warren gets major Week 1 projection for fantasy start-sit decision image

Tyler Warren might just hit the ground running.

The Indianapolis Colts used the No. 14 overall pick in April's NFL Draft to grab the potential star tight end out of Penn State.

There's no reason to believe Warren won't shine right out of the gate.

He's even got a Week 1 matchup to savor. The Miami Dolphins have not been good against tight ends.

"Tyler Warren faces a Dolphins defense that allowed over 13 fantasy points per game to tight ends last season and lost multiple key defensive contributors in the offseason," ESPN's Eric Moody writes. "The rookie was selected No. 14 after recording 1,233 receiving yards and 15 total touchdowns in his final college season. Jones thrived targeting the middle of the field in 2024 and should leverage Warren's size and yards-after-catch ability."

Warren can do pretty much everything on the field, and Daniel Jones should be able to count on him right from the outset.

At 6-foot-6, 249 pounds, Warren can do it all, and he proved that at Penn State.

In 2024, he caught 104 passes for 1,233 yards and eight touchdowns.

He ran 26 times for 218 yards and four scores. He became a QB sneak expert and Wildcat runner for the Nittany Lions.

Warren even completed 3-of-6 passes for 35 yards and a touchdown.

If you're watching the Colts play, just keep an eye on Warren. It likely won't be long before he does something really cool.
