If you were waiting for Daniel Jones to revert back to "New York Giants Daniel Jones" as the Indianapolis Colts faced the Denver Broncos in Week 2, you were sadly mistaken.

Jones backed up his superb Week 1 performance and doubled down against Denver, going 23 of 34 for 316 yards and a touchdown, and again, playing mistake-free football and allowing Jonathan Taylor to run wild for 165 yards on 25 carries en route to a somewhat lucky 29-28 win.

A lot of Jones doubters are silent now because they have their faces stuffed with humble pie, and yes, we get it, it is only two games, but we are getting a good idea of why head coach Shane Steichen picked Daniels over Anthony Richardson.

Jones is far better, and right now, it's not even close.

Can Jones keep the magic rolling?

Well, that would be the plan, right?

After two weeks of mistake-free football, Jones has been operating the offense at a high level, and that allows the offense to flow freely with Taylor burning the clock as he often does when he gets rolling.

Now, will there be stronger tests? Absolutely, but all the Colts can do is beat who is in front of them, and right now, Jones is doing it and looking good in the process.

Will this be a 17-game thing we'll see from Jones? I'll let the cake bake on that, but you can't ignore how the Colts have looked in the opening two weeks. Yes, they got a little fortunate with the first game-winning field goal attempt, but sometimes you need a little luck.

And who knows, maybe Baker Mayfield won't be the quarterback to have a career resurgence with a new team.

Jones might be here to stay.
