Indianapolis Colts cornerback Charvarius Ward has entered the concussion protocol, coach Shane Steichen confirmed on Monday. This puts his availability for Sunday's game against the Denver Broncos in doubt.

Per the Indianapolis Star's Joel A. Erickson, Ward developed symptoms overnight.

Ward had concussion symptoms upon arriving at the team facility today and was immediately placed in the league-mandated protocol.

Erickson wrote:

"Ward started Sunday's 33-8 win over the Dolphins, made 6 tackles and tied for the defensive high by playing 94% of the snaps. But Ward had concussion symptoms when he got to the team facility, putting his availability for Sunday’s game against Denver in doubt."

The Colts face a tough test on Sunday as they take on Denver at Lucas Oil Stadium.
