2025 NFL Draft: Colts select EDGE JT Tuimoloau with No. 45 pick image

The Indianapolis Colts bolstered the defensive line with the No. 45 overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft.

After grabbing Penn State star tight end Tyler Warren in the first round, the Colts turned around and addressed the defensive side of the ball, grabbing Ohio State edge rusher JT Tuimoloau.

At 6-foot-4 and 264 pounds, Tuimoloau has 34 7/8-inch arms and an 82 3/8-inch wing span.

A three-year starter at Ohio State, Tuimoloau earned First-Team Big Ten honors twice throughout his collegiate career. In 54 games (41 starts), Tuimoloau recorded 23.5 sacks and 43.5 tackles for loss.

The Colts lost edge rusher Dayo Odeyingbo to the Chicago Bears in free agency this offseason so it was expected they were going to be in the market to replace him.

Here's what Dane Brugler of The Athletic said about Tuimoloau in his scouting report:

"Overall, Tuimoloau's college tape is more good than exceptional, but he is competitive, skilled and doesn't have major deficiencies that would keep him from being a dependable edge presence in the NFL. He is one of the most well-rounded defensive prospects in the class."

Tuimoloau will join a defensive end group that includes former first-round picks Kwity Paye and Laiatu Latu along with fellow Ohio State product Tyquan Lewis.
