The Houston Texans found a way to win in Week 10 despite not having quarterback C.J. Stroud on the field.

Stroud suffered a concussion in the Week 9 loss to the Denver Broncos that led to him being ruled out in Week 10 against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Despite Stroud's absence on Sunday, the Texans still managed to win with backup signal-caller Davis Mills under center. But not only did Houston win, it pulled off an incredible fourth-quarter comeback in the process.

As we turn the page to Week 11, all eyes are on Stroud. Here's what we know about his progress.

Will C.J. Stroud return in Week 11?

We can't say for sure that he will play, as head coach DeMeco Ryans revealed Stroud is still in the concussion protocol to begin the week.

“We’ll see how they progress throughout the week,” Ryans said of Stroud.

Stroud's mom, Kimberly, told Aaron Wilson of Click2Houston.com that her son is "progressing day by day" and is "doing better each day" and wants to play, so that is definitely good news for his chances of suiting up.

It should be noted, though, that Stroud was experiencing sensitivity to light as recently as Friday, Wilson added.

This isn't the first concussion Stroud has experienced, as he dealt with one during his rookie campaign in 2023. Stroud missed a pair of contests as a result.

At this point, Stroud playing in Week 11 is anything but certain, so we'll have to keep an eye on the injury report. The Texans will drop their first of the week on Wednesday.
