The Houston Texans went on the road and picked up a massive victory over the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 17.
A fast start from the offense and stifling defense carried DeMeco Ryans' squad to a road win. The Texans have won eight games in a row after starting 3-5.
Houston's victory in Los Angeles on Saturday gives them 11 wins on the year, and inches them closer to the Jacksonville Jaguars in the AFC South.
AFC South standings
1. Jacksonville Jaguars (11-4, will play Indianapolis Colts in Week 17)
2. Houston Texans (11-5)
3. Indianapolis Colts (8-7, will play Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 17)
4. Tennessee Titans (3-12, will play New Orleans Saints in Week 17)
The Texans are still very much alive in the AFC South. If Houston wins in Week 18 versus Indianapolis, and Jacksonville loses one of its final two games, the Texans will be division champions.
Though Houston can't potentially clinch the AFC South until next week, they still secured something very important with their win against Los Angeles.
AFC playoff picture
The Texans have officially punched their ticket to the postseason after beating the Chargers. Houston has now gone to the playoffs in every season of C.J. Stroud's career so far.
Not only did the Texans clinch a playoff berth, but they also eliminated the Colts from postseason contention. It was a great Saturday for the playoff-bound Texans, and Week 18 could be for the division based on what transpires to end Week 17.
