Texans winning streak: How Houston comes into playoff red-hot despite tough strength of schedule image

The Houston Texans started the 2025 season with three straight losses. After their Week 6 bye, they held a 2-3 record and then dropped another game to fall to 2-4.

It looked like Houston’s season was over early, as the team struggled with consistency. The Texans earned a big win in Week 8 but lost again in Week 9, dropping to 3-5.

Two months later, Houston has made the playoffs, completing one of the most remarkable turnarounds in recent memory. The franchise rattled off nine straight wins and came close to winning the AFC South. Their streak sets up a Wild Card matchup on the road against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Here’s a closer look at the Texans’ winning streak ahead of their playoff game.
