Houston Texans safety Jimmie Ward was arrested early Thursday morning and faces felony assault family violence chargers, per Catherine Dominguez and Jonathan M. Alexander of the Houston Chronicle.
The report says that Ward was arrested around 5:30 AM on Thursday morning at his Magnolia Texas home. The Texans released a statement on the matter.
"We are aware of the report involving Jimmie Ward. We are gathering information and have no further comment at this time."
Ward had not been practicing this offseason due to a foot injury. We will bring more details when they become readily available.
