The New England Patriots and Houston Texans are locked in a tough battle in the divisional round, and they are battling the elements, too.

With snow and wind, things are rather tricky, and with both teams having elite defenses, it's been tough sledding.

What has also been tough is holding onto the football and avoiding turnovers.

Combined, the Patriots and Texans have a combined eight turnovers (three fumbles, five interceptions), which, according to the ESPN broadcast, is the most in a playoff game since 2015, which was the NFC Championship game between the Arizona Cardinals and Carolina Panthers.

Sheesh.

Turnovers plague divisional round

This is a typical defensive slugfest, and for some fans on social media, it is a hard watch.

For others, who love defensive football, this is like Christmas.

Granted, the elements have more than played their role in the turnovers, but C.J. Stroud's four interceptions were just awful.

With a quarter to go, you will be hard-pressed to find a person who doesn't think we have at least one more turnover to come in the next 15 minutes.

A classic defensive battle in the playoffs.
