We have not seen Houston Texans quarterback C.J. Stroud take the field for a game since Week 9.
That's when Stroud suffered a concussion that has kept him out of each of the Texans' last three contests. Stroud did show a sign of progress last week, though, after he was able to take part in practice for the first time since the concussion.
That gives hope that Stroud will return in Week 13 against the Indianapolis Colts, although that isn't a given.
Here's the latest on Stroud.
Will C.J. Stroud return in Week 13?
Stroud's status for Week 13 hasn't been confirmed yet.
On Monday, Texans head coach DeMeco Ryans revealed that Stroud is still in the concussion protocol, which leaves his status up in the air.
"He is still in the concussion protocol," Ryans said.
There have been multiple signs of progress for Stroud, which suggests he has a better than 50/50 shot to return in Week 13.
One of those signs of progress was Stroud's ability to turn in a limited practice last week.
Another sign was Stroud's symptoms subsiding, something Aaron Wilson of Click2Houston.com reported last week.
Wilson added that Stroud's Week 13 is "likely."
"Symptoms for Stroud, including sensitivity to light, headaches, subsided, doing better, per sources. Next week regarded as likely for return," Wilson reported.
With no update on Monday, the next one will come on Wednesday, when the Texans release their first injury report of the week.
