The Houston Texans have an injury concern with quarterback C.J. Stroud in the first half of the Week 9 game against the Denver Broncos l.
The injury occurred in the second quarter when Stroud scrambled with the football and took a very hard hit as he slid down, which led to his head hitting the turf hard. The Broncos defender responsible for the hit was flagged.
However, things aren't looking good for Stroud in the immediate aftermath of the hit. Here's the latest injury update on the Texans quarterback.

UPDATE: Stroud has gone back to the locker room, which isn't a great sign for his chances of returning.
UPDATE: Stroud was able to walk off the field under his own power and was waving to fans and teammates to signal he's OK, so that's a great sign.
However, he'll know go into the concussion protocol, so there's no guarantee he'll return to the game.

Stroud stayed down on the field after the play and is being tended to by trainers. He is likely dealing with a head injury and will be evaluated for a concussion. Players on both sides were showing clear concern for the young signal-caller.
