The door is at least slightly ajar for Green Bay Packers wide receiver Jayden Reed to make his return to the field in Week 13.

Reed suffered a broken clavicle in Week 2 that required surgery and landed him on injured reserve. However, Reed was designated to return to practice last week and Green Bay now has 21 days from that date to activate him.

But will that activation come in time for the Thanksgiving Day game against the Detroit Lions?

Here's what we know.

Will Jayden Reed return in Week 13?

The answer is probably not.

Reed only returned to practice on Friday, which means he has less than a week to get re-acclimated before the Week 13 matchup. That just doesn't seem like enough time for Reed to get ready after multiple months away from the team.

The Athletic's Matt Schneidman agrees with that assessment and thinks it's more likely Reed returns by the Week 14 game against the Chicago Bears, at the earliest.

"Highly doubt Reed would play after one practice following two and a half months off," Schneidman explained. "They don’t practice officially next week before the Thursday game, either. Week 14 vs. Chicago seems more likely, but we’ll see."

Reed's return will certainly be a welcomed addition for a Packers offense that has been without rookie wide receiver Matthew Golden for two of the last three games because of injury.

The Packers are also missing star tight end Tucker Kraft, whose torn ACL will keep him out the rest of the season.
