Why Packers will likely sit Jordan Love, other starters in Week 18 image

The Green Bay Packers don't have anything to play for in Week 18.

They're clinched into the playoffs. Except their seed can't change.

So when they play in Minnesota against the Vikings to close out the regular season, the lineup for Green Bay may look quite comical.

Will the Packers sit Jordan Love and other starters in Week 18?

Nothing has been confirmed, but the logic says that yes, Love and other key starters will sit out Week 18.

Love was just out in Week 17 with a concussion, and backup Malik Willis has a hurting right shoulder. It'd be safe to sit them both.

Why will Packers sit guys in Week 18?

The key here is that the Packers' seed can't move.

No matter what happens in Week 18, they'll be the No. 7 seed in the NFC.

That means in the first round of the playoffs, they go to the 2-seed (which can still change but is out of Green Bay's control).

This very well could be a start at QB for Clayton Tune.
