What Packers' loss vs. Ravens means for NFC North, wild-card standings image

The Green Bay Packers suffered a rough home defeat to the Baltimore Ravens on Saturday in Week 17, as Matt LaFleur's defense had no answer for Derrick Henry and the offense's early turnovers put the Packers in a tough situation.

Green Bay has lost three straight games, and though the Packers have already clinched a spot in the postseason, they don't have close to zero momentum as the playoffs near.

Saturday's loss to Baltimore also solidifies Green Bay's place in the NFC North. They'll finish second in the division behind the Chicago Bears.

NFC North standings

1. Chicago Bears (11-4, will play San Francisco 49ers in Week 17)

2. Green Bay Packers (9-6-1)

3. Minnesota Vikings (8-8)

4. Detroit Lions (8-8)

Chicago is the NFC North champion for the first time since 2018. It's been an incredible turnaround for Chicago, led by first-year head coach Ben Johnson.

The Packers were in a prime position to take home the division just a few weeks ago, but this December losing streak completely crushed their chances. Green Bay's fate as a wild-card team has been sealed.

NFC playoff picture

The Packers are going to be the No. 7 seed in the NFC. With a record of 9-6-1 heading into Week 18, Green Bay can't move up in the wild-card standings.

That means the Packers will be on the road all throughout the playoffs, no matter how far they go.
