The Chicago Bears notched their fifth-straight win and ninth victory in their last 10 games with a 24-15 win over the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 13.
The Bears keep rolling right along in what has been a fantastic season for Chicago up until this point. The victory on Friday over the Eagles guarantees the Bears will finish with their first winning record since 2018, when they went 12-4.
Now, a look at how Chicago's Week 13 victory over Philadelphia impacts their place in the NFC North.
NFC North standings
1. Chicago Bears (9-3)
2. Green Bay Packers (8-3-1)
3. Detroit Lions (7-5)
4. Minnesota Vikings (4-7)
With the win, the Bears maintain their grip on first place in the NFC North for another week. Had they lost, the Packers would have jumped the Bears in the division.
With five games left, the Bears control their own destiny.
Unless the Bears tie a game between now and the end of the regular season, tie-breakers won't come into play and Chicago simply has to win more games than Green Bay to secure the division crown.
The Packers and Bears will square off in Week 14 and the winner will take over first place in the NFC North while the loser will be in second place. Chicago and Green Bay will play again in Week 16.
The rest of the Bears' opponents include the Cleveland Browns (Week 15), San Francisco 49ers (Week 17) and Detroit Lions (Week 18).
As for Green Bay, it has contests remaining with the Denver Broncos (Week 15), Baltimore Ravens (Week 17) and Minnesota Vikings (Week 18).
