The Green Bay Packers had a way to clinch a playoff spot on Christmas Day.
It seemed unlikely, but it was one simple outcome: Vikings beat the Lions.
And hey, would you look at that? The Max Brosmer-led Vikings did indeed upset the turnover-mess Lions.
With that, the Packers know they're going to the playoffs.

It removes a bit of pressure on the tough quarterback situation they currently find themselves in. Jordan Love and Malik Willis are both questionable for Saturday's game.
But no matter what happens there, Green Bay can focus on getting its QBs healthy for the beginning of the postseason, because they know they'll be there.
The Packers had a tough loss last Saturday on the walk-off Bears touchdown. They haven't had the chance to bounce back themselves yet.
But on Christmas they got a present, delivered by the Vikings' defense.
The Lions' season will end in a week, no matter what. And the Packers know now that they'll be in the playoffs.
