Is Tucker Kraft out for the season? Explaining injury news for Packers' star TE image

The Green Bay Packers had a whole rotation of tight ends going during Week 12.

It's certainly not how they planned things when they came into the season with Tucker Kraft as their star tight end.

Kraft was as advertised for the first half of the season, too.

But injury has changed things greatly. The likes of Luke Musgrave, John FitzPatrick and Josh Whyle were all getting snaps on Sunday.

Maybe one of them can breakthrough and seize the TE1 job for themselves. But someone has to, because it won't be Kraft.

Is Tucker Kraft out for the season?

Yes, Tucker Kraft will miss the rest of the season for the Green Bay Packers.

Kraft tore his ACL on Nov. 3, ending his 2025 campaign.

He wrote a message on Instagram the day after his injury, using a Bible verse, Isaiah 40:31: "But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint."

Kraft was hurt in the third quarter of that Week 9 game against the Panthers. He was blocking but got caught from behind while his right foot was planted.

Green Bay will hope Kraft is ready for next season.

But for the rest of this season, tight end went from a strength to a weakness for the Packers.
