Packers 1923 Classics uniforms

On Sunday, the Packers are debuting a throwback set of uniforms that tries to replicate the look from over a decade ago. The set features two distinct looks, one with the jerseys and another with the helmet.

Packers new navy jerseys

The Packers' recently unveiled alternate throwbacks feature navy blue jerseys adorned with gold numbers and nameplates, a design that pays homage to the team's aesthetic from 1923.

Although Green Bay's usual color is green, the team previously sported navy blue. The Packers have previously donned comparable throwback, navy blue jerseys, yet this marks the inaugural instance of them sporting this particular design.

Packers' helmet made of leather

The highlight of the Packers' "1923 Classics" uniforms is the helmets, which are designed to look like the old-school leather helmets from the 1920s.

During the 1920s and 1930s, the NFL permitted the use of leather helmets, but switched to plastic helmets in the 1940s.

Packers' 1923 Classics Record

These alternate uniforms are being worn by The Packers for the first time this week, meaning they don't yet have an official record in them.

Previously, they've donned uniforms that honor the teams from the 1930s and 1940s, which led to a 3-2 record.
