The Green Bay Packers are getting ready.
They travel to Chicago to take on the Bears in the first round of the NFL playoffs this weekend. And they're preparing their quarterbacks for the occasion.
The first bit of news is this: The Packers confirmed Tuesday that Jordan Love will be good to go to start against the Bears after being out with a concussion.
The news is also positive on backup Malik Willis, who the Packers hope will be ready to be active as he battles a right shoulder injury.

Behind them, the Packers have made another QB maneuver. After Clayton Tune started in Week 18, he was released.
ESPN's Adam Schefter adds that the Packers signed Desmond Ridder to the active roster from the practice squad.
It's a quick rise for Ridder. The Packers signed him before Week 18, but they didn't elevate him to the gameday roster and instead had Love back up Tune as Green Bay played its backups.
But apparently Ridder impressed in short order, enough to be QB3 for the Packers heading into the playoffs. And given the injuries that Love and Willis are battling, that could be a slightly more important role than you'd think.

Ridder has traveled an odd NFL path, a former starter for the Falcons who turned quickly into a journeyman.
But now he's gotten a vote of confidence from the Packers just in time for the playoffs to begin.
