In one of the lowest-scoring games of the 2025 NFL season, the Philadelphia Eagles defeated the Green Bay Packers 10-7 on Monday Night Football. However, the score wasn't the story; the Pack's play-calling was a hot topic after the game. Particularly on a crucial late drive that saw Eagles defenders call out what play Green Bay was running next.
This led to a back-breaking fumble when the Philadelphia defense blew up a 'must-have', fourth-quarter play. It was that play that Packers' Pro Bowl rusher, Josh Jacobs, wanted
"Fourth-and-1, they called out our play," Jacobs said, according to Packers beat writer Ryan Wood, who posted the running back's reaction on X. "We ran it like four times, and they called it out … the clock was going down, we kind of snapped it fast, faster than we wanted to, and they made a play. I tried to pitch the ball back to Jordan, where the fumble came, but at that point, you're playing backyard football, it's fourth down. So yeah, that's kind of how it went."

Jacobs said it changed his mentality about how he would run the ball when he realized his team had tipped their plan.
"As a runner, it don't ever feel good," Jacobs continued. "Whenever they know what we're doing, it don't ever feel good because it changed my mind on how I'm going to run the ball if we're being honest. It makes me guess what I'm going to do. Obviously, people are smart."
"If we've got code words or whatever, you hear it a few times, eventually you're going to react to it. That's football, but it's never a good feeling."
The Packers (now 5-3-1) will travel to New York for a Week 11 showdown with the Giants (2-8). That gives them just a few days to clean up their offensive embarrassment from Monday night.
