The big fellas have to get paid, too.
Green Bay Packers left tackle Rasheed Walker has been as reliable as they come in recent seasons, and he's about to be a free agent when this season is over.
"Walker has played 900-plus snaps at left tackle in three consecutive seasons and isn’t a liability in pass protection," The Ringer's Austin Gayle wrote this week. "That makes him one of the most valuable free agents on the market even if he isn’t an elite tackle or an impactful run blocker."

It's been an impressive rise from a guy who was just a seventh-round draft pick in 2022.
Now, Walker is going to be paid like a cornerstone lineman.
"Last year, Dan Moore Jr. Signed a four-year, $82 million contract with the Titans after four seasons, 1,000-plus snaps played, and worse production than Walker," Gayle writes. "Walker should clear $20 million per year with ease on the open market. Plenty of teams desperately need serviceable tackle play, and Walker can provide that and is still well within his athletic prime."

The most fascinating thing here will be whether the Packers themselves are in the bidding to keep Walker around.
They have a franchise quarterback, Jordan Love, which emphasizes the need for competent blockers to help keep the QB intact.
Walker certainly fits the bill, and the Packers know him well. If Green Bay can make the money line up, Walker would be a great guy to keep in town.
