Micah Parsons has a new name for himself, and a particular quarterback already in his sights.
The Green Bay Packers pass rusher said that all his attention is on Sunday's Cleveland Browns matchup, where he'll finally get a chance to pressure veteran quarterback Joe Flacco. The Pro Bowl defender is known for his relentless energy, but this time he tied that intensity to a fresh nickname.
"Man, really just getting after Flacco. I kind of like the name 'The Hunter,'" Parsons told reporters, according to Pro Football Talk's Michael David Smith. "I haven't had Flacco yet. I need him. I want him. It's time to go get him."
Parsons is one of the NFL's most disruptive defenders. Since his trade from the Dallas Cowboys, he has quickly become the anchor of Green Bay's defense. A Week 4 meeting with Dallas waits ahead, though Parsons maintains it's not part of his focus right now.
"I couldn't be more excited," he said. "It's just about that QB right in front of me. I don't want to look past him. I need him."
Against Cleveland, the assignment is clear. Just hunt down Flacco.
The Packers and Browns enter the matchup from opposite directions: Green Bay is unbeaten, while Cleveland remains winless after two games.
The Browns will host the Packers at Huntington Bank Field on Sunday at 1 p.m. ET.
