Packers' Micah Parsons celebrates in jubilation after trade, with Rod Wave blaring in viral video image

The saga between the Dallas Cowboys and Micah Parsons has been nothing short of entertaining throughout the month of August. Parsons, widely regarded as the best defensive player on the Cowboys, has proven himself time and again over the course of his NFL career. However, team owner Jerry Jones refused to offer him a contract extension in the presence of Parsons’ agent.

“The fact that Jerry Jones and the Cowboys believe they can negotiate a 9-figure extension with Micah Parsons without involving his agent says everything about the current state of the franchise. This entire situation is laughable from the Dallas side. It could’ve — and should’ve — been avoided. But instead, the Cowboys operated with pure arrogance, foolishness and stubbornness,” NFL insider Jordan Schultz posted.

Understandably, this left Parsons angry, leading him to request a trade from the Cowboys. At the beginning of August, Parsons sent shockwaves through the NFL with a public statement confirming his decision.

“Still I stayed quiet but again after repeated shots at myself and all the narratives I have made a tough decision I no longer want to play for the Dallas Cowboys. My trade request has been submitted to Stephen Jones personally,” Parsons posted.

While the trade has reportedly been agreed upon, it is still pending physicals. If Jerry Jones wanted to make one final petty move, he could theoretically fail Kenny Clark’s physical, preventing the deal from going through.

“Not worried about Micah but what if...Jerry caved to fan reaction, failed Kenny's physical and blew up the trade,” posted Zach Kruse of Packers Wire.

In a video shared by Schultz, Parsons is seen jumping up and down and running in circles around his home, with Rod Wave playing in the background.

It's safe to say Parsons is thrilled about this new chapter in his career. After a turbulent stretch in Dallas, a change of scenery seems overdue. The Packers have instantly become Super Bowl contenders with his addition—and Parsons knows it.
