The Green Bay Packers may have jinxed themselves last week after comments were made about going undefeated. Just days later, the Packers turned around and lost to the previously winless Cleveland Browns — and on Monday, head coach Matt LaFleur made it clear he was not happy.
“The goal — and I’ve said it a million times to you guys, obviously not enough to our team — the goal is to go 1-0 every week. It pisses me off when we start talking about things outside of the next game, things that are way down the road,” LaFleur said.
Those comments may have caused a distraction — and in Week 4, another potential distraction is looming. The Packers are heading on the road to Dallas, where Micah Parsons will return to face the Cowboys for the first time since being traded. While things ended poorly between Parsons and team owner Jerry Jones, his reunion with former teammate Dak Prescott is expected to be emotional.
“It’s going to be painful,” Parsons said via the AP. “That’s my guy. He was always like a good mentor for me. But you know how it is, he always told me if I ever faced him that it’ll be a great matchup, so I’m excited to see what Sunday brings itself.”
Despite Parsons’ impact on the team during his time in Dallas, the Cowboys are not planning to show a tribute video — and on Wednesday, he made his feelings clear about that decision.
“There’s a lot of things I can consider disrespectful throughout this process, but I wouldn’t say the tribute is one of them,” Parsons told the media.

Parsons was reportedly mistreated by the Cowboys organization for quite some time, mostly by Jones. On Sunday, it seems there will be nothing but bad blood on the line for the star linebacker.
In a sense, Parsons could go out and show Jerry Jones just how big a mistake it was to ignore his demands. This situation is shaping up to be one of the most infuriating player-team splits in recent NFL history — and the lack of a tribute video only adds fuel to the fire.
