In professional sports, major trades often take time to get used to.

After four seasons in Dallas, three-time All-Pro EDGE Micah Parsons is set to begin the next stage of his career with the Packers. And while fans got their first glimpse of Parsons in Green Bay's green and gold through some sharp jersey swaps, the expert Photoshop work may not have painted a perfect picture of the star's new look.

Since ascending to stardom at Penn State, Parsons has donned No. 11. While most Packers jersey swaps feature Parsons in his signature number, he will begin his new era with a new digit on his jersey.

Here's more on Parsons' number and why he is switching things up in Green Bay.

Parsons' jersey number with the Packers was not initially announced. Third-year wide receiver Jayden Reed currently wears No. 11 for Green Bay, meaning Parsons' signature number is currently unavailable.

Notably, the official announcement from the franchise features a photo in which no number can be seen.

Jersey number swaps and transactions are common in the NFL. Reed could have gifted No. 11 to Parsons, or the two could could've work out a deal if Parsons was intent on keeping his number.

Parsons has worn No. 11 for the past several years of his career, but he wore No. 23 on the gridiron as well as the hardwood while starring at Harrisburg High School in Pennsylvania. Under the NFL jersey number rules adopted in 2023, Parsons could wear No. 23, which is available in Green Bay.

Hours before being introduced as a member of the Packers, Parsons took the jersey number discussion to social media, writing, "Should I go 0 or 1!" Suggesting that his options will be No. 0 or No. 1.

Conversely, Reed wore No. 1 during his time at Michigan State, and that number is also available with the Packers, though no Packers have worn No. 1 since Curly Lambeau in 1926.

UPDATE: Parsons announced during his introductory press conference that he will wear No. 1 with the Packers.

Packers players to wear No. 1

Only one player in Packers history has worn the No. 1: Earl "Curly" Lambeau. The former player and coach wore the number from in the 1920s, last wearing the number in 1926.
