The Green Bay Packers have a major uncertainty with running back Josh Jacobs heading into the Week 12 matchup against the Minnesota Vikings.
Jacobs suffered a knee injury in the Week 11 win over the New York Giants that landed him on the injury report this week.
Jacobs didn't practice on Wednesday but managed to turn in two limited sessions on Thursday and Friday before drawing a questionable tag for Sunday, which gives him a chance to suit up.
Here's what we know about his chances of playing.
Is Josh Jacobs playing today?
That has yet to be decided.
NFL Network's Tom Pelissero reports that Jacobs is "pushing to play" but he remains a game-time decision for Week 12 against Minnesota.
"Packers RB Josh Jacobs is pushing to play, but his status is truly up in air for Sunday’s game against the Vikings, per sources. Jacobs was limited in practice this week as he deals with a knee contusion. They’ll make the final call in the morning," Pelissero reported.
One thing that is troubling for Jacobs' status is that the Packers e levated running back Pierre Strong from the practice squad on Saturday, which is a sign that the Packers don't think Jacobs is a lock to play.
Who is Josh Jacobs' handcuff?
If Jacobs doesn't play, fellow running back Emmanuel Wilson will take on a workhorse role, as he has operated as the clear RB2 in Green Bay this season.
Wilson ranks second on the team in carries and the only other running back who has seen work on the ground in 2025 is Chris Brooks, who has just three carries.
Emmanuel Wilson start or sit advice
Of course, if Jacobs plays, he's an automatic start.
If he doesn't, deploying Wilson is a viable solution.
The Vikings aren't a scary defense against the run, with Minnesota giving up the 14th-fewest fantasy points per game to the position this season.
Along with a decent matchup and expected heavy workload if Jacobs is out, Wilson amounts to a strong flex option for Week 12.
