Another week, another Josh Jacobs injury worry.

The Green Bay Packers' RB didn't participate in practice on Thursday, and given that the Packers play on Saturday this week, that's not a good sign at all.

Jacobs was iffy throughout last week but ended up suiting up on Sunday and getting 12 carries.

This time around, it's a dual knee and ankle injury combo that is keeping Jacobs out of practice.

If he doesn't play, Emanuel Wilson should be the workhorse in Green Bay, and he's proven capable of doing that role well. Wilson dealt with an illness heading into last week's game, but there's been no evidence that that'll be an issue this week.

It is really fascinating to see what the Packers do with Jacobs. They've got a huge NFC North clash with the Chicago Bears on Saturday night. If you were ever going to push Jacobs through injury, it'd be for a game like that.

Jacobs had 12 carries for 73 yards and a touchdown, with two catches for 19 yards, in the Packers' most recent game despite dealing with injury throughout the preceding week.

At this point, Jacobs is going to be battling through something. The question is whether he can overcome it enough to be on the field.

The Packers would certainly appreciate having all hands on deck to play the Bears, especially at a cold Lambeau Field.

Jacobs' availability may not be figured out until much closer to Saturday's kickoff time, though.
