The fantasy football playoffs are here for the vast majority of leagues out there and three key players are uncertain to play in Week 15.
The list includes Green Bay Packers running back Josh Jacobs, Dallas Cowboys tight end Jake Ferguson and Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Davante Adams.
All three players are listed as questionable as we head into the weekend. Adams has a hamstring issue while Ferguson and Jacobs are dealing with calf and knee injuries, respectively.
With all three players being among the best starting options at their respective positions in fantasy football, there will be plenty of eyes on them on Sunday.
Here's what we know about their chances of suiting up on Sunday.
Will Josh Jacobs play in Week 15?
- Injury designation: Questionable
- Will Jacobs play: More likely than not
Jacobs didn't practice on Wednesday and Thursday before turning in a limited session on Friday, when he also seemed to be in high spirits.
The fact he was able to get on the practice field to close out the week gives us hope he will be able to give it a go. We've also seen Jacobs play with minimal to no practice before, so that's another reason for our optimism.
Fantasy advice
If Jacobs can't go, Emanuel Wilson will take his place and would be a solid RB2 play. Wilson ripped off 107 yards and two scores when he filled in for Jacobs in Week 12.
Of course, if Jacobs plays, you're starting him and keeping Wilson on the bench. For now, go get Wilson off waivers just in case, as the Packers play in the late window and there won't be many options left if Jacobs is ruled out.
Will Davante Adams play in Week 15?
- Injury designation: Questionable
- Will Adams play: Almost certainly
Adams didn't practice on Wednesday and Thursday before closing out the week as a limited participant on Friday. That, along with the questionable tag, is concerning, but head coach Sean McVay believes Adams will play.
"We'll be very surprised if he wasn't ready to roll, and that's what his mindset and mentality has been all week," McVay said ahead of Friday's practice, per Stu Jackson of TheRams.com.
Fantasy advice
As long as Adams is active, you're starting him. Adams hasn't put up big yardage totals this season but he has been a touchdown machine, making him one of the best fantasy football options at wide receiver this season.
If the veteran wideout sits, you cannot trust anyone not named Puka Nacua in the Rams' receivers room.
Will Jake Ferguson play in Week 15?
- Injury designation: Questionable
- Will Ferguson play: Almost certainly
Ferguson suffered a calf injury in practice on Wednesday that left him limited before he did not take part on Thursday. The veteran tight end did, however, manage to finish off the week limited.
Head coach Brian Schottenheimer revealed that he expects Ferguson to play after what he called "just a little tweak," so that is great news.
"We'll have someone ready to go if Fergie can't answer the bell, [but] I think Fergie will answer the bell," Schottenheimer told reporters on Friday.
Cowboys executive vice president Stephen Jones also believes Ferguson will play.
"He had a good day today, which is what we were looking for. Barring a setback... The expectation is for him to go (Sunday night)," Jones said of Ferguson.
We still won't write his name in pen for Sunday because of the questionable tag, but things are looking good for Ferguson.
Fantasy advice
Ferguson enters Week 15 as the TE2 overall this season, so he's a must-start player. The problem is that Ferguson plays on Sunday night, so fantasy football managers run the risk of him being ruled out before kickoff and being left out in the cold.
Based on Schottenheimer's and Jones' comments, it looks like that won't happen, but you just never know, especially with a fresh injury like Ferguson has.
If you're one of those fantasy owners, keep Luke Schoonmaker in the back of your mind. He would likely step into Ferguson's role if the veteran is ruled out and amounts to the last-ditch option in that scenario.
Sure, fantasy owners could dip into the Monday night game between the Miami Dolphins and Pittsburgh Steelers, but Darren Waller is the only viable starting option at tight end in that game and he's likely rostered.
